25 years ago, Ameena Meer entered the world of fashion advertising as a writer with the understanding that what you say is as important as how you say it. I always believed that you should never sell anything you wouldn’t buy yourself, that you should honor your origins, respect your audience, love your products and find your greater purpose.
Today, I am a creative director, brand strategist, copywriter, healer and intuitive. I am a woman of color, a Muslim and a conscious ally for all BIPOC.
In India, a wallah is a person who does a specific business. A rickshaw wallah drives a rickshaw. A shawl wallah sells shawls. A chaiwallah sells tea.
